Dr Wajahat Habibullah(Chairman to Minority Commission of India) : 11000 Engineers of Cisco System in collaboration with Inclusive Growth Group have developed solutions to developed India using Digital Technology where they have discovered that there will be 3 billion digital users and those will be from India and China alone. So, they have started with the goal of customizing technology for the developing world in the three areas namely Education, Skills Development and Health Care. Primary goal of the solutions should be extremely cost effective, replicable, modular and scalable. Challenges lies in technology work in consistent and sustainable basis in a cost effective manner. For Example schools like Sarba Shiksha Abhiyan in remote corner of Shimoga District of Karnataka have 6 Computers present in the School. Out of which 5 Computers are not in service. So, they use the single Computer to teach the entire class, where they used to teach students on certain topics like using of rocket but there is a huge gap between the teacher and the student as the teacher in not able to reach to the student in proper manner. To minimize the gap between the teacher and the student
the Inclusive Growth Group introduced the concept of Edu Chat which comprises of studio where a teacher from specific location use to interact with all the students through remote classroom concept. With the use of it the students could understand the topics clearly but if they wanted to question back they have to do it through text messages or phone calls which is again not very effective as the kid losses the interest very soon. Finally they introduced cloud computing to bridge the gap between the teacher and the kid. And the Remote teacher can get into the classroom from the far end..

Ajay Krishnan(Inclusive Growth Group, Bangalore) : 11000 Engineers of Cisco System in collaboration with Inclusive Growth Group have developed solutions to developed India using Digital Technology where they have discovered that there will be 3 billion digital users and those will be from India and China alone. To minimize the gap between the teacher and the student the Inclusive Growth Group introduced the concept of Edu Chat which comprises of studio where a teacher from specific location use to interact with all the students through remote classroom concept. With the use of it the students could understand the topics clearly but if they wanted to question back they have to do it through text messages or phone calls which is again not very effective as the kid losses the interest very soon. Finally they introduced cloud computing to bridge the gap between the teacher and the kid. And the Remote teacher can get into the classroom from the far end.

Amir-Association of Muslim Professionals (Group of Indian Educated Muslim) : More than 50 chapters running in India and its presence is in almost all the metros in India.13 different states with Head Office located in Mumbai. It started 6 years back from 2013 in the days of Orkut (a social networking site) with the discussions on the empowerment of Muslim Community. Its main motto in is to run various projects on education and employment for the empower of the Muslim Community. The AMP community introduce its more presence into social networking sites initially with Orkut and then with Facebook , Google Group , Twitter etc. Project on AMP Resource Center which takes care of the employment on Government Scheme for the under privileged people of the society and to expand the usage of technology so that information can reach to the corners of the cities. They also worked on Corporate Scholarship Scheme like Mark India who prove Scholarship to the students who have scored more than 80% in SCC Examination where they create awareness among the society to avail the same, where they have immensely succeeded in providing this Scholarship to the 100 students in 2012.In 2008 they have introduced Skill
Development Project in various Schools in rural areas of Maharastra where they have covered 50 topics on Soft Skill. In last two years they also have provide job to more than 500 youth through Skill Development Program. In Research Center Project they had worked with bureaucrats where people from different states started doing research on different topics and social media is the source of inspiration for them .They manage their entire business hub through digital world. They are also role Mole to Kashmir Muslim Association, Manipuri Muslim Association.

Their website have received London Award in 2012.They have done stories on career, classifiers and education and also cover Jamia Millia Islamia.
Dr Shahid Akhtar(Chairman of Jharkand Minority Commision) : All minority deserves the basic information that is provided by the Internet across the world. Digital Technology effects human rights, impact on human development. According to telecom service 164.81 millions of users use Internet in India in March 2007 which shows the importance of digital technology across the country. But at the same time less than 30% of minority home have never used computer. So , it requires to expand across the country through training . It introduced MTEC and MBA.MTEC stands for Minority Technology Empowerment Center
whose mission is to educate and connect power through active engage in technology education for minorities. Its importance lies in empowering women rights, network of technology. Technology is an engine of economic development and also channel for social development. MBA stands for Minority Benefit Agreements which is a Community that built the ideas of task force through the pilot project in the city that transfers to empower minorities through digital inclusion.
Intaj Ali Shah (Chairman West Bengal Minority Commission) : India is the largest democratic country in the world where Muslim Minorities is in the 3rd position after Indonesia and Pakistan and its population is 3rd largest in the world. They work on the them to empower minority socially and economically where they have provided scholarship to 20 lakhs minority students. According to Article 22 Right To Education Act proposes that each and every child of Independent India need to provide basic Education between the age of 6 to 14. But with the increase in illiteracy rate across corners of
the country it hardly follows the Act. In the schools of rural locations same teacher need to teach multiple subjects in different classes where students to hardly get proper attention from the teacher. Whereas in some schools one teacher teaching in the whole school as well as the teacher also serve mid-day meal to the students. With the introduction to Internet it is possible to reach this news among the society which by introducing various minorities programme can empower the progress of the society.
Chhavi Rajavat (Sarpanch of Soda,Rajasthan) : 880 Houses,4hours of Electricity in a day, no landline, one Computer Laboratory only for Senior Children, no Internet. Technology is not only about acquisition of equipment but rather it is enabling accessibility that bridge the gap .For ex- e-Governance module, Internet access, Computer lab which is open to all segments of society, also avail an opportunity to provide information about various types of grants and facilities provided by government , e-Villages, Panchayat databases because it can help Panchayat to extent the benefits that is provided by the Government like basic Social Welfare Scheme, Pension etc. People hardly have the awareness among them to use the following scheme so here Digital Panchayat is playing a great role in providing awareness to the society about the Schemes like who can use it, among which age group ,how to avail it etc so that individual that can get the equal benefit .They have also digitize the records of the village for further reference. Revenue department is not able to digitize the record where public is being hindered and hampered and no solutions can be found. Technology ensure the reaching of information in the last mile but as it is lacking in its part and due to which villages are lacking with various Schemes provided by Government. For example in 2010 ,they were not granted NREGF funding but when they approach the Government it was told to them that they are required to cross the 60:40 ratio where 60% is for Labor Component and rest 40% is for Material Component. So, to avail it they have requested the data from the Block Level where they found huge calculation error where the actual record is they have not crossed 25% whereas the Block Level records show that the village have crossed more than 75%.As a result the village was deprived with all the benefits provided by Government for almost 7 to 8 months.
Technology is an important in transparency which provides objectified data which can be trusted. For example in a survey done by village locals and outside volunteers there was 880 Houses in the village whereas the Government record has 937 Houses.
Accessibility is a biggest problem in the villages at various levels where technology can play a big role as it can help in posting the photographs as evidence of the projects that is being executed and how far that is being executed in various levels in village. In their village they do not have safe drinking water even for the purpose of irrigation. Education is also another biggest issue which teachers are not available, students were taught only Hindi, Sanskrit Literature and Geography where accessibility to digital world can provide them education in the remote corners of the village.
Shakir Hussain Siddiqui(Central WAF Council) : With the availability of property economically, socially, technologicaly together they can bring development in the Education System of the country where the Central Government is trying to digitized the records of the properties across countries. For example like how many properties have been acquired by the people and by the Government. They have introduced Rent Control Act
which controls the rent and also the community specialty minorities. Waft Development Corporation programs are under process which to proceed in December 2013.39 corers have been sanction from Government for donations which they have used in Educational programs ,vocational development programs , they have also disbursed to the States so that they can computerized system digitally.
Tufail Ahmed (Helpline Khizmat) :Helpline Khizmat was launched on 8th August 2013 by Shri K Rahman Khan honorable Minister of Minority Community with the motive to provide information of the programs of the minority affairs, schemes to the minority communities. The basic purpose of National Digital Minority Summit is to uplift the under privilege people of the society ,to create economic and commercial viability among them by means of using modern technologies such as information, digital tools, communication and application. In the context of social and economically empowerment of minority communities through digital inclusion it is highlighted silent feature of Helpline Khizmat of Minority Communities. Its operational working hour is 9am to 6 pm on all working days. From different pockets of India they used to receive daily 150 to 200 calls which are recorded and further it is analyzed and monitor by the management to reach the eligible candidates of minority communities. For better utilization of the Schemes the
Helpline Khizmat analyzed in various levels of the Ministry of Minority affairs into different section to provide to the minority communities and make them more aware about the Schemes and program of the Ministry. It also provides latest information about the various Schemes of the Ministry such as Pre-Matric Scholarship ,Post –Matric Scholarship, Maulana Azad National Fellowship, Free Scholarship, Nayi Roshni Scheme for the Leadership Development, Learn and Earn Scheme, Multi Secular Development Program, Micro Finance Scheme for the minorities.
Sanjeev(Founder of Infoedge/Naukri.Com/Jeevansaathi.com/99acres.com) :99acres started in2005 and its parent company is Infoedge which have 2500 employee out of it 10% is from minority communities. It have got more than 4 lakhs listing Real Estate Property out of which 6000 listings are uploaded on daily basis of property using online interface. On 4th November 2013 it was put into notice a listing contain discriminating content by Mumbai based Real Estate agent for sale but not for Muslims which clearly violated the norms of the company and corporate values .To tackle the issue of prejudices in Housing they exam all the listing of the website and also the Facebook and listed clear policy in the website to remove such ambiguity in future. And also they put a banner stating on their website .They also formed a content team to guide the advertiser to post
the appropriate advertise in their website moving far away from religious bar.75 lakhs listing has been analyzed out of which 98% of listing does not have any community, religious related advertisement. And then they have created the glossary of buckets which include specific add of community advertisement will not the published in the website. They are also educating the broker community. In future they are planning to introduce policy for various Real Estate Agents and Association.
Mr Shehzad Poonawala :Access to digital technology is a symptom rather than issue to minority in terms of Sachar Committee Report and Planning Commission Report. Socio political and socio economic and socio cultural discrimination of biases that always exist towards the Muslim Community. But here prejudices exist everywhere where Muslim is prejudice against Hindu and Hindu is prejudice against Muslim. Among the Muslim Community 64% of people are below the age of 30 which is an advantage in accessing digital technology adaptable to younger demography and more active twits are from UAE which concludes that face that Muslims are equally getting opportunity to access digital world. We are lacking in socio political and socio economic and socio cultural environment in India to support us in digital technology. From the mission and objects of DEF he have chosen three different stake holders for working with Minority Communities. They are business like 99acres.com which can be incentivized for business to be sustainable so that it should be model of profit. Second stake holder it government who takes care of larger aspect social welfare. Final stakeholder is Civil Society who with the help of Skill Development program work for the minority in a larger scale. Lack in leadership among the Muslim Leaders with digitization leading a huge issue on the development of the Minority Community.Idea of progressiveness should be promoted among the community which will replicate in the digital world itself.
Empowerment is an very important factor that needs to be discussed. Here Christian Community has done a great work in empowering digital device through education. As large number of them are educated they have open schools in various locations where Christian Minority can pursue their formal education and this is how they serve their needs. The Digital minority is not related to religion neither there is only Muslim Minority but also Parsi Minority Committee, Christian Minority Committee, Jain Minority Committee etc .It is due to lack in economics who cannot afford a computer,
i-phone and wi-fi at home will certainly will be more fortune to digital community. In India out of 80% of digitally accessed people 10% are rich people. It is due to the issued of language as we have access to limited content available. To take care of Muslim Minority Community in India we need to generate more content in Urdu digitally. So, it is not the question of accessibly to computers rather the local needs of the digital content is to be taken care instead of making it general. Education, Language and Content of the Digital Device collectively caters the need of empowerment of minority community
Nawab Malik (Cabinet Minister of Maharastra) :Digital Technology is an organ with us which helps to reach miles in Minority Communities breaking all blocks. In this era we are collectively associated with digital world. Muslim Minority Community have been highly empowered by digital technology. It is highly noticed that through digitization the Government to reach fast to the society, to the world. Digitization is one of the largest organ of human which today crossing the miles , each and every barrier in empowering the society. For example- In one of the of minority school of Maharastra they have introduced e-learning which consist of 3400 students out of which 1400 students were taught in free of cost. They have also done great in sports activities like 7 students from the school have represented National Level Cricket Champion in Maharastra. With the expansion of digitization employment have immensely increased in
various locations where lakhs of people are earning for their livelihood. But at the same time it cannot be denied that digitization is making people dependable and lazy due to Google, Facebook and various other website. If Google ends up someday it will lead to big issue to the mass as we are so very much dependent on it. So, it is equally important to expand on basic education for the upliftment of the society. It concludes with digitization collectively have bought empowerment in the minority community.
